Welcome to Mashy Eddie P's personal website. Take a load off, crack open a cold one.

"Let the red dawn surmise what we shall do, when this blue starlight dies and all is through."

This bar is under construction. Please forgive the mess. While I plan to make the website eventually work on a range of resolutions, it currently works best on 1280x720, 1600x900, and 1920x1080.

About Me

Welcome, what's your poison stranger? Yeah, I think we might have some of that back here, let me pour you one.

You can call me Eddie, or Mashy if you like. I'm the proprietor of this finest of bars. I'm a PhD Candidate in Philosophy with a passion for table top games, media and art in all its many forms, and I live in Michigan with my fiance and our three cats, dog, and jumping spider. I have also in recent years grown exhausted with the direction in which modern consumer tech is going--rather than developing, it seems to be degenerating rapidly, in both quality and function. Coming to this realization has motivated me to begin removing my dependence on smart phones, social media, and addictive websites designed to keep me scrolling endlessly, e.g. tik tok or youtube shorts. Much more recently, I discovered this quiet movement of creators here on the indie web, and immediately have fallen in love (shoutout to the youtuber onionboots or onio.club for bringing this to my attention, as it seems he did for a whole wave of people). So, I will be slowly and steadily building this website to both share things I like, to store useful information for my ttrpgs I run, and whatever else I feel like. It will never be perfect, but it will be mine.

Oh, I see you finished your drink, shall I pour you another, or will you be wanting to settle up your tab?

Where am I? What's going on?

Hi there! This is my little corner of the internet, circa March 2026. Like many of the websites in the indie revival, this website's theme is really only unified by my own personal interests. Those are varied and evolving, and some come to forefront as others recede to the background, so this website will no dobut evolve over time. In particular, I am going to be using it as a kind of GM's Blog or GM's Log if you will, to discuss and record some of my failures and triumphs in running tabletop roleplaying games. It might even feature the occasional more polished essay on the topic of GMing. I also currently utelize a website called Kanka for the purpose of storing most of my homebrew world's lore, called Adra. My goal is to move all of that off of Kanka and on to my personal website here. I play just as many TTRPGs as I run, so I may also log some of the stories of the games I'm playing here, as a way to save them for posterity (and my poor memory). Expect this to also be a place to find my thoughts and journeys through video games, books, movies, and television, as I am an avid appreciator of all those artforms. So, I hope you enjoy this friendly neighborhood bar. Pull up a stool, and let's share a pint together.

Until Gen Con 2026!
